I liked Superman Returns but hated Bosworth. Dana Delany remains my favorite Lois

EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have found their new Man of Steel. Deadline had been hearing for the past weeks that British actor Henry Cavill was the frontrunner for the much coveted Clark Kent/Superman role in this much anticipated reboot.

I think he's a great choice. I really liked him in Blood Creek and his small part in Stardust.

I actually do like this choice. Hopefully his American accent is good. Way better than the other choices (never thought Goode was meant for the role and Joe Manganiello was a little too Superman and not enough Clark Kent).

I know there will be some controversy having a Brit play Superman but I do not remember the panic of Bale cast as Batman or Garfield as Spiderman having to do much with country of origin. Plus, Nolan gets plenty of people across the pond to play Americans, so it is not really surprising this did happen.

i enjoyed him on the Tudors and in the Count of Monte Cristo... so i'm excited to see his take on it... apparently he was also one of the contenders for Edward in Twilight!
