I have the hiccups.
So.. while we're on that subject, what are the weirdest hiccup remedies you've heard?
*shrug* Just a thought. Anyway...
Someone told me to hold some water in my mouth, put my head between my knees and swallow.

Posted: 10/18/04 at 7:12pmI have one that always works, but only the first time, and it only works in person... I don't really want to share, because then it'll never work on you, but if you really want to know, I'll tell...

Okay, but now it'll never work for you...
If you accuse someone of stealing something, and you can be absolutely serious about it, just telling them that they stole something, and keep it up for 30 seconds to a minute, their hiccups will be gone. It just scares them... My roommate did it to me last year and it scared the s**t out of me, and I've sinced used it on others...it's never failed.

Actually, my dad just told me to hold my breath for 10 secs then SLOOOWLY release it... It worked. Hehe.
Thanks anyway, folks. :-p
And, Jess1483, I need to try that method next time lol.

Posted: 10/18/04 at 8:20pmI used to fake having hiccups when I was little just to get a spoon full of sugar.

Posted: 10/18/04 at 8:22pmHaha! I freely ate sugar when I was little. Surprisingly, now that I think about it, I didn't get all hyperactive and bouning off the walls...

Posted: 10/19/04 at 9:36amI always try to take twenty sips of water without taking a breath. I don't always get to twenty, but it always makes my hiccups disappear.

Posted: 10/19/04 at 9:44amDrink a glass of water from the opposite side of the glass. It requires you to lean over the glass so in theory you're drinking upside down. It works for me.

Posted: 10/19/04 at 10:32amThe trick to the sugar thing is to put the sugar in your mouth, then press it between your tongue and the roof of your mouth for 20 seconds.
