Is this the same frequency that those hearing aids emit during performances? Surely the wearer would turn them off if they could hear their aural pollution.

My ears are still ringing, and yet my mother can not hear anything. This is actually very interesting, does anyone know the basics behind how it was done?

I believe the inner ear is the first part of the auditory system that ages, and that is the part that detects high pitches, so it all depends on your inner ear deterioration.
