Always good for a giggle! One of my favorite Pride Pictures from years past is my boyfriend in the middle of the street flipping off the protestors as the crowds cheer! As a friend used to say "It's not pride till someone calls me a sodomite!"

This is the first year I marched, and as we approached the token protesters, my boyfriend and I kissed the entire time we were in front of them. I always wanted to do that.

I saw footage on one of the cable stations over the weekend (CNN or MSNBC) and they showed a couple making out while protesters were literally crying their eyes out. How embarassing! To go to a gay pride even to protest and start crying over a lip lock between two men! It truly made my year.

Homo sex is a threat to national security? I'd like to hear the explanation behind that. Especially since I've always thought that colonialist Republicans are the danger to national security.

Has anyone ever been given a decent explanation as to why these people protest? I know their intention is to save souls, but that's not the way to go about it. So what's their real excuse?

Those pictures are AWESOME! I was marching in the parade last year with the Anti-Cruelty Society and I think I saw those same people. Of course, after awhile, they all start to look alike as well as think alike.

my favorite protester ever was at my first PRIDE.

a man held a posterboard that said "FAGITS OUT OF ASHVILLE"

he couldnt even spell the name of our mutual hometown!

the next day it was on the front page of The Asheville Citizen-Times, above the fold.

I hate this thread. Chicago is a great city. Our mayor supports gay and lesbians. The Police and people of Chicago respect all. A few show up! They are not relevant!

Hey, I am from Illinois and I LOVE Chicago. I am not trashing the city. I am trashing the few fundies who try to disrupt a gay pride parade with hate speech.Those fundies can be found anywhere.

Yeah-- just to put in in perspective, there were 450,000 people attending the Pride Parade. There were maybe a dozen (?) protesting. Believe me Abba, they are NOT looking to pick a fight!

(she's been one of my best friends literally since we were babies... our moms went to high school together... when i first came out to my mom, her first question was "do you think erin's a lesbian?")

And I'm glad you're armed properly for the fundies. If they aren't doing anything entertaining, you should liven things up by making out with your friend. But I want you to remember all the slogans they shout at you, so that you can post them here and we can all laugh at them.

i'm kinda bi-ish? lol

i dont know if there's one word for what i am!
i could see myself in a romantic relationship with a guy a girl or anything inbetween, but i'm asexual so i can't see myself in a purely sexual relationship with anyone.
