Says Nancy Pelosi: Hillary is the "big name" who would would "make a great vice president."
"Convention schedules can be changed."
Says PalJoey: "Politics is the art of the possible."
Pelosi keeps Hillary’s VP embers glowing
I hope you're right, PalJoey. Up until that, things have been really silent here in DC about Hillary.
I have to be skeptical but hopeful. His chances of winning would increase and it would scare the SH*T out of the right wingers to have another Clinton in the White House.Still think its a rumor and gossip, but we will see.

But she's a homophobic bigot.
"It would make Obama win!" Uh he will win either way.
I'm am certain she has been offered this slot. I hear a lot of people painting Barack as someone who wouldn't choose Clinton because of his "new politics" or because of the stupid things she's said about him. I don't see his campaign like that at all. I think what he does is very smart and strategic. I think choosing Clinton someone who he may not always agree with as NEW POLITICS. Working together is the only way our government works.
Obama has a really fantastic lead right now in the electoral college. He would win if the election was held today. The only state I think that Clinton will positively affect is Florida, though Obama's campaign has a work around for Florida.
For historical reasons I think it is both Obama and Clinton's responsibility to make this happen.
Who'd a thunk that Nancy Pelosi herself would be the one to float this?
The only thing sweeter will be to see Donna Brazile's and Howard Dean's frozen smiling faces during Obama's announcement.

Uh she didn't really answer the question.
I thought she was very clear.
Over the weekend I heard on one of the political morning shows that the office for Hillary for VP shut down. They were saying that it was an indication that she would not be his choice. I peronally hope this is not true. I want her as VP.
"I thought she was very clear."
How can she talk about being against discrimination but suggest states should be able to discriminate where gay unions are not popular?
The whole problem with her stance is that it IS NOT A STANCE. We can't have real gay marriage without federal protection and we can't have federal protection without upholding the constitution. This is CLEARLY not a state issue and she knows it.
She like most are not willing to do that. Anything other than equality is unconstitutional.
I have no doubt that under a Hillary Clinton presidency, we would move toward full marriage equality sooner than under any conceivable Democratic or Republican candidate, Obama included.
I know she will work for us as vice president as well, expecially with a >60% Democratic Congress.
Without her, Obama would be much too beholden to anti-gay African-American religious conservatives to push for any kind of legislation, even incremental.

Seriously you suggesting that makes me sick. You are the same person that will stand there and defend a group like AIPAC's influence on our Democratic leadership. Not that "African-American religious conservatives" have had ANY political influence on Barrack Obama's democratic work in the senate.
It is a disgusting thing to say. Barrack Obama spoke out openly for gay rights while running for the senate. He isn't hiding anything and isn't siding with any religious group for political gain.

I agree Pal Joey 100%. At least Hillary will march with us in a parade.
i just love the word beholding and i cannot see it without hearing katherine hepburn saying it to jimmy stewart in the philadelphia story.
hillary as veep has the potential to finally bump bammy up out of the 2-4% lead over mac to which he has clung doggedly since the primaries. it also has the potential to energize the far right wingers who are not real enthused about mccain. it's a catch-22: pick her and you shore up any dems who were on the fence but you risk waking the slumbering vrwc. is it worth it to unite the democratic party? it would make a splash, that's for sure.
i think she gives him the most bang for his buck as veep, but would she wake the right? maybe. is it worth the risk? given the way he can't pull away, if i were on his side, i would risk it.

Uh where was she this year? Not that it matters she is still isn't for gay marriage. Despite having countless opportunities to do so.
Paljoey may be able to blame Obama's sucky gay record on his church but how do you explain Clinton's. She likes the gays just a enough to get their votes and hypnotize us with her pantsuits but not enough to make us equals.
What parade has Obama marched in? Hillary is not ashamed to march and she even did it while not running for President.
Hillary is not the nominee and IMO, not even a runner up for VP. So, why do you want to talk about her and not Obama? Her views at this point don't mean a thing. I am more concerned with Obama than I am with Hillary.
"...it would scare the SH*T out of the right wingers to have another Clinton in the White House."
It's interesting that you say that. I have found that a lot of "right-wingers" prefer Hillary to McCain!
Here she is, boys. Here she is, world. Here's Hillary Clinton at one of her many NYC Gay Pride Parades, the 2006 one.
Like Ann Coulter? She said if McCain was the nominee she would campaign for Hillary. Never happened.
Pal Joey, that has to be photoshopped! Hillary is a homophobe or so I keep hearing.
