I don't find Bill's remarks contradictory. Or wrong, for that matter.
Bill Clinton isn't foolish enough to underestimate an opponent.
Bill could have been talking about Evita...or Hitler, for that matter (except the 'woman' part, obviously)
He's not saying "I support her." He's saying "It's a mistake to underestimate her."
And it would be. If she rallies the Christian Right to vote for McCain, McCain can win.
