Hillary Clinton Says...

Screw Hillary. The great believer in the Iraq war wants to speak up now? Rescue my ass.
Agreed. She is one of the most egregiously disingenuous people EVER. She makes my blood boil.
Has anyone in her position voiced these types of comments before though?
Although this could be a start to gain popularity for the '08 election...
That is her one and only goal, nothing more, nothing less. She is Mrs. Shaw in The Manchurian Candidate (original, not the embarrassing remake).

Yes. To put it mildly. Unless by "in her position" you mean something like "as an ex-President's wife", in which case...well, maybe Eleanor Roosevelt did.

"And you know what I'm talking about?"
Yes Mrs Clinton, we do. On Martin Luther King Day, a day that should be reserved for honoring King and his contribution, you have to race bait.
And by the way Mrs. Clinton, how do you know so much about the running of a plantation? I know your husband called himself the "first black president" but I don't think he meant that literally.
And what's up for Yom Kippur? A speech about how the Senate is run like a concentration camp?
LOL.. good one, goth
Hey, Goth! Did you object when Newt Gingrich said it?

"I clearly fascinate them," Newt Gingrich said of the Democrats. "I’m much more intense, much more persistent, much more willing to take risks to get it done. Since they think it is their job to run the plantation, it shocks them that I’m actually willing to lead the slave rebellion.” [Washington Post, 10/20/94]

I'm an enrolled Democrat and active in the party. However, I don't see how Hillary is so special, nor do I see what she's done for NYS since she's been in office. Having met the woman, I've found her to be cold and insincere--but that wouldn't keep her from being an effective leader. My biggest complaint with her is that she hasn't done anything dynamic as a Senator.

"Hey, Goth! Did you object when Newt Gingrich said it?"
Yes I did object because I think we need to be careful about our rhetoric and communication.
I also objected when Newt's mother called Hillary a b*tch on tv, even though I agreed with her.
This is just another example of what Arianna calls the Republican Party's POM...Phony Outrage Machine.
A Democrat says something no worse than dozens of awful things the Republicans say every day, and the Phony Outrage Machine goes into high gear.
The word goes out: From Republican blogs to Republican talk radio and out to the mainstream press, which tilts toward the Republican power base even as conservatives accuse the media of being "controlled" by liberals.
Beware of the RNM and POM: the Republican Noise Machine and the Phony Outrage Machine.
I say good for Hillary--and let her race-bait--it's politics, not a sewing circle. If the Repubs can politicize gays, Jesus, and fetuses, Hillary can raise the race flag, and rightly so. Kanye West had it right. And though I'm no fan of Hillary, it's time she started acting like the Dem. Pres. front-runner. I'm not convinced she's Presidential material, so she needs all the points she can get. As far as I'm concerned, she just earned her first point.
