My parents said that when they ate there there was a leak from the ceiling. I didn't have the heart to tell them about the Gaiety up above.

The restaurant was selling all the dishes and fixtures earlier in the week. If you went by there you could buy stuff. I don't know if anything is left. I think they started selling in on Monday or Tuesday.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I knew it was closing so last time I was in NY (6/1) I decided to stop in for one final visit. The sign was still there telling you to wait to be seated. The entire wait staff was standing halfway back, talking to each other. I waited and 2 of them looked my way and glared at me. NOBODY bothered to come forward. The cash register was also left empty.
Giving it one more try, I went over and sat at the counter. After 5 minutes of being glared at by even more employees, I finally gave up and left. I'm surprised it stayed open this long!
