"Monday night, U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton denied the request... pointing out that religious institutions have already been given exemptions from covering contraception, and that Hobby Lobby does not qualify since it is a private business."
How soon until Hobby Lobby closes its doors?

Good.
This is just the start. I hope employers will realize that they can't tell their employees what to do with their own bodies because of their own religious beliefs.
My question specifically about contraception is what if no one needs it. Sure, in the future someone might need it, or a guy's wife might need it (would she even be covered?) but it does seem like a waste to have to pay it and no one ever use it.
I agree with you, Byron.
Just saying the name "Hobby Lobby" out loud makes me giggity-piggity.

And makes you wanna shop at the Piggly Wiggly?

If the employee does not need it then no claim is being filed to the insurance company and thus nobody is paying for it. It's not like they have to buy the contraceptives and then hope somebody is going to come along to use them.
Thanks. That answers my question.
