re: Hostel (Holy Sh*t) clips...

Dude (or dudette), I literally JUST came here to post because I'm looking at the exact same thread right now. I feel a bit sick. I liked Saw, but I don't think I'll bother with this one - not because it's too gory, but because there's a good slasher flick, and then there's senseless pornographic violence, and this seems to fall in the latter. The sickness I feel isn't from the images, but from knowing that if filmmakers can think up this stuff, imagine what the truly insane and cruel can inflict on people...I get that thought in my head and my imagination runs wild.

A side topic, on IMDB, there's a thread on what movies/clips have actually made people sick from disgust/horror? I haven't gagged before, but my stomach turned watching the clip of the terrorists cutting that kidnapped American's head off. It wasn't particularly gory or graphic, but the sound of him screaming is something that will stay with me.

Haven't seen the movie but those clips confirm my thoughts about how bad it's going to be.

Cabin Fever was hysterically awful, so my hopes for Hostel have never been what you would really call high.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
