Hot Shows We Gave Up On

>>Gilmore girls. The new writers SUCK.
Dude, the writers didn't leave. It's the same writers. It's only new executive producers. Plus, last year was an abomonation- the writing really went down the hole and the characters were inconsistant with previous seasons, they rewrote history, and introduced some truly horrifying storylines (depsite starting off the season brilliantly). I was afraid last season they'd jumped the shark, but Amy and David leaving was exactly what the show needed. I think they just ran out of steam and needed someone to breathe new life into it. I think it's up to season two level of cleverness, both in dialogue and in storylines. I think people just want to say "the new writers suck" for the sake of it. I have a friend that says the same thing. Anyway back on topic...
Lost is at turns exciting and disapointing, but I stick with it anyway.
Idol was fun the first season, but I think the thing about these types of shows, reality shows in general, is that they are a sort of novelty. And then that novelty wears off, and you find a new one to captivate you... until that wears off. The novelty shows get good ratings (why shouldn't they?) while serial shows suffer. Who wants Gilmore Girls or Veronica Mars, when you can find out if you're as smart as a fifth grader? Rest in peace, Arrested Development (aptly named?) and American Dreams (also aptly named?).

The Apprentice, for sure.
And I'm about THIS close to just giving up on this season of Idol as well.
