Not that I would willingly eat horse meat, but why should horses be any different than pigs, sheep, cows, chicken, fish ...

Meanwhile there are still high gas prices, a war in Iraq, and terrorism. Not that horse slaughtering isn't as important as steroids in baseball or apologizing for slavery, but the House needs to understand that there are some real issues out there that need solving.

I never thought I'd say this, but Goth is right.

The Illinois ban on horse meat production has been intensely fought on both sides. Horse lovers are passionate people, whether they love them as companions or entrees.

What's next? A ban on fox hunting?

Oh sure, you laugh now and say it will never happen and that we fought a war so as to be free from British ideology. But you watch, first they take away your horse meat, then they take away fox hunting, next thing you know we're singing God Save the Queen and paying to restore Clarence House.
