Oh yes, at out age - who cares about birthdays with the exception of the biggies. I think that 38 can be technically labeled as mid thirties???

My birthday's August 8, and I always missed out on having a party at school. Never got to bring in cupcakes and stuff like the other kids did. Now it seems the kids with birthdays in the summer celebrate them before school gets out for the year. No one ever thought of that when I was in school.

We were poor hicks in Kansas and I had one party when I was seven. My wife now makes every birthday a major and expensive production! Give them some cake after dinner and be finished with it. (Scrooge! - yes I know.) 8/8 is our anniversary and my father's birthday.

8/8 is a wonderful date!!

I think some people do go majorly overboard with the birthday celebrations. When graduations and other important events happen, those celebrations have to top the birthday parties!
