Apparently, Robert’s mother is no worse for the wear, and is back at her home safe and sound. Normally, I would consider that bad news (yes, I KNOW that sounds horrible – Boobs understands, I’m sure) but it really IS the good news compared to what I learned when we discussed the possibility of our plans.
Robert reminded me that a reunion we’re attending is Sunday the 7th. I thought, “No problem,” as I could just fly up to Seattle on Monday, or even Tuesday. THEN he said that our friends who are coming from Atlanta to participate (the ones you met, Beav) were planning on staying for a few days at our place to visit. As Robert will be pretty busy with the Shakespeare Festival, that means I’ll be doing the bulk of the hosting!
Now, I certainly can’t complain about getting to spend some time with friends – unless it’s keeping me from spending time with OTHER friends!
I looked over the tentative schedule, and it seems that there might be enough people involved that my non-participation won’t nix the whole thing. I would love it if that were so. If you CAN actually figure out a way to go forward, I would probably be free by the time whoever showed back up in LA and could participate in any festivities (maybe even host a gathering here at our place?)
Sorry about the roadblock! That’s what happens when TWO people have to work out what’s happening in daily life.
Beaver -- that movie is supposed to be interesting, I think. Enjoy! Also, regarding "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" (is that right?) -- I think you know the answer.
