Hi, Shira. It's lovely because it's the truth - and something I think is too easily forgotten by some people.
Actually, it's very appropriate to my life right now, as there was a high chance today I wouldn't see tomorrow.
See, my brakes failed again (the car will be impounded) -- it was the third time, and rather scary....
I'm happy to be alive right now.

Oh, my - that sounds a bit dramatic. And WE'RE happy you're alive, as well.
What ARE you going to do without a car, though?
Eh, my parents don't drive THAT much. So it's generally mine whenever I want it, thank goodness.
Believe me, it wasn't my choice to spend an evening in Downey -- I was going to see My Fair Lady in La Mirada

I wasn't going to, but I HAVE to ask - why were you still driving something in which the brakes had already failed TWICE?!?!?
Well, the first time we said "okay, it's a crap car, but we had to fix everything else -- and once it's fixed, it's fixed..."
second time, about a month ago, we said "yeah, we're selling it, and now it DEFINITELY won't happen again..."
and now i will never step foot in it again. My dad wants to sell it cheap, but i won't have that on my conscience...

It happened a MONTH AGO? Girl, you are SO lucky you're 50 miles away from me right now! And with all the driving you do? GEEZ!!!
I was driving back from Santa Barbara...
now my brakes have failed on the 3 major freeways! I think it's a record (101, 5, 405)...
Wait...I'm lucky your far away from me? Would you have slapped me for my idiocy?

You are NOT making this any better, young lady!
Ok, I'm off for the evening - bookclub and Disney tomorrow - yay! Sleep well, and don't dream of driving!
I know, I'm oddly peppy about it...it's just ludicrous...
Bookclub and DISNEY? Jealous! Enjoy!
No dreams of driving -- I won't even listen to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang...
Glad to see your ok Shira...
Went to see "Ragtime" tonight. Very good, really enjoyed it. Went "dancing" afterwards... didn't really do a lot of dancing, but we had fun.
Swedish pancakes? I don't know what they are, but they sound good! (Especially since I'm up so early).
Long day ahead...hope everyone has a marvelous and relaxing day -- DG, I'll be driving around town in my mother's car!
I love swedish pancakes.
Beav... you are going down to LA for "Shira's LA Hurrah!" right? Gonna have to rent that movie... I don't do too well with gore, though.
I'm anti-gore -- blech. I have no tolerance at all...
Sunday night... can't sleep. Obsessing about my singing audition tomorrow. (later today actually) I've been sick of my stomach all weekend, so it really won't be playing hooky 'cause I've really got an upset stomach... though I 'could' go to work but will rather stay home and prepare for this audition.
I hope I at least get called back for the show I want (they hold generals for the season, and then do call-backs for the individual shows).
Happ Monday all !!! Coffee is brewing and there are bagels and rolls on the table. Now I MUST get my butt moving and get ready for work. BTW...Charlie is just the cutest and I miss him already.
Boobs is back! YAY!! Hope the flight back was better than the one going.
I'm surprised you didn't sneak Charlie back with you.

Girly if I only could've taken him. He is just the cutest and such a good baby...sleeps a lot and only cries to be fed.
Flight was only delayed coming home about 1/2 hours....only because there was a sick passenger on the flight coming in. We still made it to Newark on time.

I know it was a really quick trip, Boobs, but I'm glad you got to see Charlie - and that you're back home safe and sound.
Morning, bgirl.

Excellent!
Well, Excellent that all went well. Since you updated with her not saying hi to you, I'm updating by saying that's not so good.
