I was thinking of bumping up the trip to July...just some random musings...
July works... no Princesses though.
Right -- but you are more important than the musical. I mean, originally it was concieved partly for Princesses, but if I have to forfeit a show for friends, I will.
DD if you can ever get a chance to see any of these shows they were so much fun. The 1st year it was called "It's A Living" then they changed it to "Making A Living"...someone need to put these back on..C'mon TVLand !!!
Just this past weekend I realized I actually get TVLand. I had no idea. It's in my favorites now.
I had a co-worker who's wife worked for them until they moved to LA...damn I could've had an in to get this show back on the air !!!!

Hello, boys and girls. Been busy, busy so far, and really only have a moment before I run off again!
So, to see where we stand:
As I said, I've got this committment now the first week of August. One thing is, I DON'T know exactly what their plans are, so it may actually still work (however unlikely) I'm going to try and get ahold of them this weekend to try and nail something down.
Unfortunately, early August was about the best time for me. The period in July you mentioned is when my mother and nephews are here, and them I'm going back with them to Colorado to spend a week up there. And once we hit mid-August, I really need to be here to help get things going for the new school year, as Robert's Festival goes right up til the beginning of school.
Another thought - it seems as if people are willing to travel, so what about setting aside a weekend (preferrably the second one in August) to have one last southern California adventure for Shira before she heads back east. We could do Disney one day, and then have a big party at our place the next day. There's even a couple of other BWW's that might play (like Elphaba from Palm Springs and eslgr8, whom Shira already knows.)
Anyway, that's just a thought that occurred to me as we work our way through this!
Hope all is well with everyone, and that the weekend looms bright, cheery and fun - Boobs, you especially be safe and enjoy the spoiling
Gotta run to the airport dear friends..everyone have a GREAT weekend. Hugs and kisses all around XOXOO I Love You Guys !!!
That sounds like fun! But it means no Seattle trip?
Have an awesome weekend BOOBS!
I do like the idea tremendously...

Bye Boobs - hold tight to the broom . . .
Shira - I know that isn't built around a Seattle adventure - BUT, what it does is allow you to save your money, which I understand MIGHT come in handy in NYC. I'd be willing to pretty much make sure that the weekend is ALL ABOUT YOU (do you like that thought?)
Beav - I'm all for the BWW day at Disney - we'd make Gay Days look like an afterthought. And then the party here could be for 'family'.
Do you think DD could come down? If it's ALL ABOUT SHIRA it sounds amazing! And I guess I won't go to Seattle -- another time perhaps.
*For those of you coming into this thread now, I'm really not THIS conceited. Close, though*
I think I can handle that... and I'd get to experience LA as adult!
Weekend of the 13th of August? Will have to look into hotels and stuff. Which area should I look into? Suggestions? Offers?
RE: Seattle, once we're both in NYC, you can come with me to Seattle when I come to visit.
I hear Chez Shira is quite nice if you like.
Will Mdme. Shira be ok with her daughter's 37-year-old gay internet fairy-godfather-in-training friend staying over?

DD - I was just about to write that this was ONLY an idea because you seemed willing to come down to LA already - you are VERY much a part of this!
If Boobs is able and willing to come, I'd like to offer him the option of staying here, as flying from NYC to Ontario is pretty easy - and reasonable on JetBlue. We also have 2 couches that are very sleepable (which I know from experience) so they are also available. The other thing is, we have a pretty nice mini-van, which can be used as the coach of choice very comfortably for 6 (even 7 if we have to.) So, that could get anyone anywhere they need to go.
The other thing is, those who would be partying the next day could all just come here after Disney, and we could slumber party our way into the next morning. Of course, we might have to start the party day off with Bloody Marys and Mimosas, as long as no one objected tooo much. There's also the hot tub for after a full day of walking around Disneyland

I just asked. Her reply, "Why not?"
LOL... that would be fun! Thanks for the offers. I'll seriously consider both of them... I'd like to look into a hotels too, and ONLY because part of me likes to travel and spoil myself. I just LOVE room service. But I wouldn't want to pass on a slumber party or late night chats!
SO... IF I was to stay at a hotel, which area would I look into for it to be convenient for us all? (like I've said before, I haven't been to LA since 1989)

DD - Disney is in Anaheim, and we live just north of Ontario (about 45 miles due east from LA. Your best bet is probably around Disney somewhere, and then our house is about a 40 minute drive from there. You could also then fly into orange County's airport (John Wayne) and avoid the whole LAX thing.
Also, if you wanted to see about flying into Ontario - a GREAT small airport - then you could get a hotel in that vicinity, and just ride into Disney in the 'coach'.
Depends...I only know my part of town -- the best areas around me are well, Westwood, Beverly Hills, and...yeah. Santa Monica would be in the opposite direction.
Go to hotels.com and see what pops up -- we'll let you know if it's good or bad.
Near DG, I don't quite know.
EDIT: DG is smart.

Shira - you crack me up.
I've REALLY got to get going - but at least we have some things to think about - like having fun, no matter where or when
Talk to everyone later!
DG -- I thought I WAS on crack..."I think she's on crack guys.", courtesy of Boobs...
We'll all talk later then.
Ciao DG...
Decisions, decisions. I'm an aquarius, we don't make decisions easily, and even when we do, we second-guess ourselves.
Decision to go to LA in August: check
Decision on where to stay, however... Chez Shira, DGrant's B&B&BB, hotel near Ontario, hotel near Shira... I think if I'm gonna go to LA, in addition to our trip to Disneyland and party, I'd also like to explore some of the things I never did before 'cause I wasn't of age.

In that case, you probably want to be closer to LA - and just consider coming out to our place like they used to view going to Palm Springs in the 50's
I'm GOING NOW - my god, this place is a sick addiction!!!!
