Don't hold it too long, Boobs honey - I hear that's bad for your health. Updated On: 1/27/05 at 09:15 PM
Ah Marquise..another handsome, sexy man in my life. How are you tonight sweetie?
Don't worry DG..I'm gonna let it go soon.
Paul Anka wrote your song? I met him a couple years ago. My friend who is a HUGE Anka fan and is only the tender age of 31. Well we went to see him at the State Theatre in New Brunswick and he got food poisoning so the show got cancelled. Prior to knowing the show would be canceled, her mom paid to be able to go backstage and get an autographed copy of My Way and pictures. The disappointment on her face when the show was canceled. I wanted to cry for her. A month or so later he was down in A.C., so we got tickets to that show and they honored the original backstage package. So we got to go backstage with her and meeting and get pics. Only she got autographed sheet music. I didn't need to have that. He was so sweet to her.

She was all teary and everything about finally meeting him and he just kept hugging her and wiping her tears. It was very nice. I'm glad that he was understanding. Some people wouldn't be.

Paul Anka wrote our song? More that I don't remember from that night...oh well. What is it, anyway?
You caught me fooling around with somebody new
You caught me fooling around now I'm losing you
'Cause you're a one man woman
You're a one man woman
You're a one man woman
But I'm a two timing man
The nights you left me alone
And you disappeared
The nights your voice on the phone
Said I'm waiting here
'Cause I'm a one man woman
Yes, you're a one man woman
'Cause I'm a one man woman
But I'm a two timing man
Oh Baby you know I'm sorry
Oh sure, it's the same old story
I keep coming back
And I let you
'Cause I'd rather forgive than forget you
Now I won't need no chains to tie me down
You lost you're way my love
But now you've found
That I'm a one man woman
Yes, you're a one man woman
Oh,I'm a one man woman
But I'm a two timing man
I'm a one man woman
I'll be your one woman man
You're a one man woman
I'm a one woman man
Yes, you're a one man woman
You're a one woman man...

OMG - I remember that night that came about with Boobs and Rath - I've been hanging out here TOO long
I'll trust you on that, Boobs.
Yes...DG was at the reception as were many other BWW posters.
Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
Think of all the great things we would do
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Then the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...
Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...
Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...
I was there, but I didn't remember how it all happened, it was so quick!

Girly..you were wasted too !!!! I remember you shouting a song from "Taboo"...the gutter one...LOL !!!
"I can see the stars from the gutter,
and if it all goes wrong, we've got each other
Don't despair, fame is due
I can see a legend in you
I can see a future in you...."
Oh, boy, don't get me started!

When an old lady died in the geriatric ward of a
small hospital near Dundee, Scotland, it was believed
that she had nothing left of any value. Later, when
the nurses were going through her meager possessions,
they found this poem. Its quality and content so
impressed the staff that copies were made and
distributed to every nurse in the hospital.
One nurse took her copy to Ireland. The old
lady's sole bequest to posterity has since appeared in
the Christmas edition of the News Magazine of the
North Ireland Assn. for Mental Health. A slide
presentation has also been made based on her simple,
but eloquent, poem.
And this little old Scottish lady, with nothing
left to give to the world, is now the author of this
"anonymous" poem winging across the Internet:
Crabby Old Woman
What do you see, nurses? What do you see? What are
you thinking, when you're looking at me?
A crabby old woman, not very wise, uncertain of habit,
with faraway eye.
Who dribbles her food, and makes no reply, when you
say in a loud voice, "I do wish you'd try!"
Who seems not to notice, the things that you do, and
forever is losing, a stocking or shoe?
Who, resisting or not, lets you do as you will, with
bathing and feeding, the long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking? Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse, you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am, as I sit here so still, as I
do at your bidding, as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of ten, with a father and mother,
brothers and sisters, who love one another.
A young girl of sixteen, with wings on her feet,
dreaming that soon now, a lover she'll meet.
A bride soon at twenty, my heart gives a leap,
remembering the vows, that I promised to keep.
At twenty-five now, I have young of my own, who need
me to guide, and a secure happy home.
A woman of thirty, my young now grown fast, bound to
each other, with ties that should last.
At forty, my young sons, have grown and are gone, but
my man's beside me, to see I don't mourn.
At fifty once more, babies play round my knee, again
we know children, my loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me, my husband is dead, I look at
the future, I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing, young of their own, and
I think of the years, and the love that I've known.
I'm now an old woman, and nature is cruel, 'tis jest
to make old age, look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles, grace and vigor depart, there
is now a stone, where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass, a young girl still
dwells, and now and again, my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys, I remember the pain, and I'm
loving and living, life over again.
I think of the years, all too few, gone too fast, and
accept the stark fact, that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people, open and see, not a crabby
old woman; look closer, see ME!!

Marquise - you and your Puerto Rican Ass crack me up!
Me too DG..me too...I love it !!! Well I hear my bed calling...so until tomorrow in the words of Dean Martin....
Goodnight sweetheart
Til we meet tomorrow
Goodnight sweetheart
Sleep will vanish sorrow
Tears and parting may make us forlorn
But with the dawn a new day is born
Goodnight sweetheart
Though I'm not beside you
Goodnight sweetheart
Still my love will guide you
Dreams will enfold you
In each one I'll hold you
Goodnight sweetheart
Dreams will enfold you
In each one I'll hold you
Goodnight sweetheart goodnight
