The day the nickel MJ delivery was made was always a day to gussy up
You dressed up for that?!
You got to choose what you wore to school!?? Heck I was at a prep school and in uniform. (sigh!)
heh, i knew some girls who wore uniforms...well, at least at some point they wore them.
well, i did manage some interesting attires for proms. it was the 80's and all and i was rebeling against anything and everything. oh to find those negatives now and remove all evidence of the year i was so stoned i let my sister do my hair for prom. my g/f at the time was so good about not being upset that my outfit included safety pins and dog chains while she was grace and elegance personified.

DG... It WAS a Catholic prep school to boot (Yes folks they really do exist) Preppy snobs with the added benifit of Catholic guilt!
I went to four senior proms in the 80s. When you're gay, you're a popular prom date. I remember one who looked like a big poofy black and hot pink wedding cake. I had to drive her father's old SUV because her dress would not fit in a normal car. Another had this giant Dynasty-inspired mane hairdo. She never wore her hair that way and she kept scrunching down in the car to keep it from flattening on the top. She was also fond of huge dangly earrings, hundreds of those wavy platic bracelets that came in every color under the sun, and the thickest shoulder pads she could find. She already had shoulders like a varsity football player, so with the pads, she looked incredibly butch. Perhaps that's why I liked her so much.
My prom date had bright orange hair and wore a red dress. I wore a canary yellow tux with an orange cumberbund. We were dazzling!
not to mention... bright!

I took a friend to the senior prom - after fifteen minutes there (in Virginia Beach, VA) we looked at each other and left. We went directly to the airport, hopped a flight to NYC, and had a fabulous night 'on the town'. It all fit in with my overall impression of the high school years, which wasn't very good.
My proms were horible. But I loved the prom at our "brother" school my senior year that was a grand time. To make a long story short
Me, a 90+ year old Jesuit brother dancing the Time Warp. 'nuff said.
Hello All!
Proms - flashback city! I preferred the fraternity and sorority dances of my college days - much more fun. Perhaps, the alcohol helped??
I saw Josh Groban in his sold-out concert last night at Philips Arena. Say what you will...the boy can sing.

i had a blast at all 4 proms i went to. i even remember two of them. first one i didn't even have a driver's license for and the only hair i had on my head was a lone spit curl in the right at my widow's peak, alas that's about all i remember of it.
jungle, what do you got?
