i was watching "the bodyguard" the other night. he played kevin costner's father in that.
M- I love that movie. Everyone I know thinks I'm nuts, but I just do. I really wish they could have done a sequel before Whitney spiraled so out of control.

i just wish they would release a special edition DVD of it in widescreen with all the music videos as a special feature. warner home video could have done this for the film's 10th anniversary 3 years ago. they really dropped the ball on that one. Updated On: 2/2/05 at 03:01 PM
That would've been fabulous!

I think this was my favorite movie at that time...
where were you when "Grease" came out in the summer of 1978?

In Virginia Beach between Sophomore and Junior years in high school. I had no interest in the movie - in fact, I didn't see it until MANY years later on video.
at the pool trying to convince my brother's ex that 8 years was not a huge age difference thinking i could scam some rebound action. unfortunately, since i was the one who was 8, it didn't actually go over so well. but i got lotsa points from her and her girlfriends for trying. who'da thunk that you could make a 16 year old jealous by making out with his 8 year old brother? she was way ahead of her time! mammaries...
I was in between freshman and sophomore year in high school. Saw it and didn't care for it very much.
Partying up a storm that summer. When we went to see it, several times, we were putting people in the trunk of my car before getting up to the Amboy's Drive-In booth to pay, then pulling up behind the snack bar building to let them out. Don't know if all drive-in's had one, but this one had a playground underneath the screen similar to the one in the movie. I remember going there years prior to that and playing on the swings and the slide and riding in the boats with my p.j.'s on.

Papa, that's hilarious. I once broke up w/ a girl because her jealous friend told me that she was only dating me to get to my older brother. The "ex" and her "best" friend had a very entertaining cat fight in front of my locker freshman year. It was 1980, though, so I guess I shouldn't be talking about it here.
???
To answer Marquise' question. I was in Junior High, playing pee wee football for the 1st time and making friends with a group of kids that eventually became pretty tight knit a la "Stand by Me". Our many favorite activities included, playing poker, skitching in the snow and making crank phone calls i.e. "ring...ring....Someone answers: Hello?...One of us: Did you order a pizza with dickless anchovies??? TEE HEE TEE HEE GIGGLE GIGGLE...click". We used to steal the drive-thru menu from the Jack-in-the-Box and hide it in the alley around the corner. We were a REAL tough bunch...not really...but 1978 was a very fun year. Updated On: 2/2/05 at 08:07 PM

What's up, Rath? I'm sure Grease was my favorite movie that in 1978, but I'm going to do a little search to see what other movies I dug that year. I don't remember what came out when.
Hey, Rath. Boobs, Lost is a repeat this week. That's what I meant. I hate repeats.
