This women is getting more attention than 5 very important people combined. It's sick.
All over the news people are excited to find out who the baby's father is.

*shakes head in disgust*

And yes, I know by posting this I am feeding into it.

"Two diaries penned by Anna Nicole Smith in the early 1990s reveal a troubled young woman deeply in love with her octogenarian husband and often depressed and concerned about her weight.

"I've been really stressed out lately and depressed and I can't quit eating. I feel like a pig," the former Playboy Playmate, who died February 8 in a Florida hotel from a drug overdose, wrote in an entry dated August 16, 1992."

"Doug Norwine, director of music and entertainment memorabilia at Heritage, said the man decided to auction the diaries after securing the publishing rights. Opening bids will start at $20,000, Norwine said, and he expects the diaries to fetch as much as $100,000."

Honestly if I had a couple hundred thousand dollars just lying around I would buy the damn things

-- so that I could publicly burn them and be done with them.

I don't think it's sick that she is getting a lot of attention, I just think it's sick what she is getting the attention for. In an ideal world it would be left as a private matter--not Nancy Grace's and the rest of the world.

You couldn't GIVE them to me, let alone expect me to buy them.

I personally find it disgusting that a deceased person's personal items are being auctioned off.

i agree. it's sick that's she's getting so much attention for this. i saw a tabloid magazine that said there was a picture of her body in it (why would someone look at something sick like that?). anyway, my friends mom had it and looked at it. she said "Oh my God, how did they get permission to take this picture?" Then, I looked in the bottom corner. It was really small text that said "based on witness acounts." It looked like a person sleeping, with blue lips.

I was about to say I'd pay a couple bucks. After all, what else to use when I run out of toilet paper?

Now...yes, its awful that these things are being sold. However, Kurt Cobain's diaries were published. And I believe they sold rather well.

It's not like they need them anymore.

It's sick that people will be publishing this woman's personal thoughts to make money. It's horrific.

But Kurt Cobain was a musical genius ... in hindsight, revealing his diaries wasn't terrible. With Anna Nicole, she was just a regular, poor mother who tragically passed at such a young age ... there is a difference, you know? Curt Cobain meant the world to many people, and he still does; and even though the motive behind revealing his diaries was money, I do not believe that any of Nirvana's mammoth fanbase, or the entire rock/heavy metal community for that matter, takes showing his thoughts to them as a sign of dis-respect.
