re: How're your classes this year?

Unfortunately, my mom would FLIP if I didn't take ALL Honors, but I'm so used to them by now, it doesn't even make a difference.

re: How're your classes this year?

Aigoo - I would take them again. 1320 is a -great- score (my brother had a similar score...maybe a tad higher...he'll be a frosh at Dartmouth this fall) but taking them again shows colleges both a strong desire to continually improve yourself, and also, a lot of colleges offer you the option of combining your best scores...so maybe your overall score might not be higher, but if you're higher on one of your sections, you end up with a combined higher score! never hurts! :)

as for my classes...yay for college! (although first semester will be hell...7 classes AND i'll be an RA.)

Intro to Directing
Run Crew - Into the Woods
Drama (English course)
Period Studies in Theatre
American Film
Peer Counseling
Costume History
(Theatre major much? lol)

The closest class I can take at my school relating to theatre is Fine Arts Appreciation.

re: How're your classes this year?

Ewww...Junior year. o_0

English 5 (Yay!)
Spanish 7 (So long as I don't get that Spanish teacher from hell)
French 3 (Um...I want to drop this...language overload)
Latin 3 (Requirement, or I would drop it now...Latin just gets too hard)
AP US History (Haha...I know I'm going to regret it, but I love US)
Pre Calculus (Ewww...atleast I'm in pre calc and not advanced algebra. I despise Math.)
Physics (The worst science there is, and I really have extra credits in science because of accelerated classes. A requirement.)
Aerobics (Hopefully...anything but freshman gym)

College Class: Drama 100

Honors classes of course, it's such a rip that I don't get AP English.

Except I want to drop French and take either Shakespeare Reader and Law Seminar since they are only a semester each.

re: How're your classes this year?

I don't think you have to retake the SATs...if you got a score you want, you can stick with it. Ashley, you might be getting confused with the PSATs.

re: How're your classes this year?

ashley might be right...it makes sense...since the new SATs take effect this year...everyone will probably have to take them. i don't know for sure but that makes sense.

re: How're your classes this year?

Ugh. I've been trying to avoid the new ones, but I'll probably just take 'em next year. Thank you.

And kook! How encouraging that your brother went to Dartmouth! That's one of my choices!

re: How're your classes this year?

The new ones aren't that much harder in retrospect. To be honest I think the essay helps my score. Well those harder math problems can go, and I'll be happy. I'll be even mroe thrilled if it were all geometry.

Aigoo...you skipped a bunch of grades, didn't you?

Ohhhh, the new ones. Gotcha. I'm wrong. Sorry guys!

I completely forgot about those. They are getting rid of the analogies, right?

re: How're your classes this year?

wow, so many high schoolers I feel old startingmy junior year of College.

I'm taking Playwriting:Character Development, Poetry Writing Workshop, Modern Drama, Math Excursions (no lie, that's the name of the class, its gonna be so easy, math is something that while i don't like it, im good at), basic stage make-up, and an Advanced Directing Project where I'm gonna direct a one act, and then finally the required half credit where we work tech on one of the department shows.

17.5 credits, but it will be fun and probably not too hard. Last semester I took 18 hard credits and nearly went crazy. The best part of this year is I turn 21 between my fall and spring semester and my family is taking me to vegas. that will definately be the high light of my year (unless I get cast as Bastard in King John).
when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.

re: How're your classes this year?

I feel old too Zone, and I usually feel like the baby of the board! This is an nice change. I'm going into my junior year of college as well. I'm also going to Vegas with my family in December!

What a coincidence, right? :)
#24

re: How're your classes this year?

yeah, I turn 21 literally 2 days before my spring semester so if i get to do the study abroad i want to do in January (venice from like the 1st to the 23rd or so, to study Shakespeare) I'll go from at school till a week before christmas, to Venice on new years, to vegas on the 26th (birthday on the 28th) back to school on the 30th, hopefully straight into casting Bat Boy. it will be a crazy month and a half but probably the best month and a half ever.
when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.
