Really, there's something sexy about Hugh's unapologetically caddish attitude.
I'm partial to Colin myself, even though he acts like he's got a stick up the arse.

Posted: 10/22/04 at 9:51pmMy friend is commanding me to type COLIN FIRTH! So yes, Colin Firth. She "Broadwayworld stalks" me, so this is in her honor. She went to an advanced screening of Bridget Jones' Diary 2, and says it's "really good."

Don't worry, sweetiedarlinmia. I pull that one out regularly. Mr. Darcy coming out of that lake has my vote as one of the greatest moments on film.
In case you couldn't tell, COLIN FIRTH.

See, Plum asked if this was really a contest, but I can't believe the unanimity (is that a word?) for Colin Firth! I thought there be a little bit of competition at least!
I CANNOT WAIT for BJD2. I'm anxious to see how Bridget's time in prison turns out.

I like them both, truthfully. Acting-wise, they both tend to play the same character in every movie they're in. Hugh is the foppish lovable cad and Colin is the stiff yet somehow lovable guy who was cheated on and thus is MORE lovable. Hugh was really likable in Nine Months I thought. Colin was GREAT in Pride and Prejudice. And they were both wonderful in both Bridget Jones and Love Actually.
EDIT: Took out my lame political joke. You're welcome.

Colin Firth. Not only is he gorgeous, but he has the single best line in "Bridget Jones' Diary":
"Wait a minute; noce boys don't kiss like that."
"Oh, yes they f***ing do."

Colin Firth.
No contest.
Don't you think he would make a great Robert Langdon? (DaVinci Code. Angels & Demons. ???)

Yes, I think he would, actually. Better than Hugh Jackman. (And I'd see like to see Hugh in anything. And nothing, at the same time.

Oh - I think Hugh would be a terrific guy to know, in the Webster's sense.
Colin would be a terrific guy to know, in the BIBLICAL sense.
(I couldn't agree more about the lake scene in "Pride")

As most of you know, I despise movies, so I haven't seen the film. I did, however, read the novel this past summer and thought it was a nice piece of fluff.
It is my dream to see Hugh Grant play Henry Higgins in MY FAIR LADY. I think I'd set up campu inside the theater every weekend!
Hugh Grant gets my vote!
