Remember what Hugh looked like as Peter Allen? Well, here he is as Wolverine filming X-Men 3 - this was taken on Saturday, Sept. 10.

It makes me sad that Bryan Singer isn't involved in this.
I have no clue what this is. I know it's a sequel; but having never seen the original nor whatever its source material is, I really just don't know. Not that you needed to know that.
Nor does it surprise me.
Pop, I don't follow movies all that much, but why isn't Bryan doing this one?

He landed the job of directing Superman Reborn or whatever the new movie is going to be called which meant he had to relinquish directing X3. It's a shame they couldn't have postponed shooting X3 until he was available but that would have meant they would have lost all the cast due to scheduling conflicts. But to give the job to that hack Brett Ratner? Ick.

Bryan Singer is directing Superman Returns, which premieres June 30, 2006. They have been shooting this movie since March and aren't done yet, plus then there's post-production which will probably last until it comes out in the theaters. They couldn't wait for him for X-Men 3 since that was also ready to go and that would be a delay of another year or two probably. X-3 premieres a month before, on May 26.
Does it really matter? I mean, the whole thing looks rather silly.
I'm so worried about the new X-Men movie. All the directoral problems it's gone through, what with not having Bryan Singer (which is such a goddamn shame, because he did SO well on the first two), signing up Matthew Vaughn, losing him, and the ending up with Brett Ratner...it doesn't bode well for the film. ;_; I'm REALLY upset about them not having Nightcrawler return, as he's my favorite X-Men character. I'm kind've peeved about Storm returning, just because Halle Berry's been such a diva about the part and I was happy when it looked like she wasn't coming back. Storm has always been an insanely boring character for me.
Some of the new casting looks cool. (No Gambit! ;_
Ben Foster doesn't seem quite pretty boy enough for Angel, though. And does Kitty really need a new actress EVERY FILM?
Back to the original point of this thread...Hugh looks hottttt! Even hotter than usual! lol

I watched Someone Like You several times for Hugh... awful movie, but he looked so hot in it! Hehe, but I am excited because I liked the original two XMen movies. I'm excited for the Fountain also, but that's another story. He also looked hot in Swordfish, but I loved his character in Kate and Leopold the most...
If I wasn't so lazy, I would go and scan the pictures I have when I met Hugh Jackman at the stage door of TBFO... but alas, laziness...
[so above are other pictures: Tony Awards; Someone Like You; and Swordfish]

Superdad's aria for Ava
By FIONA BYRNE

HOLLYWOOD heartthrob Hugh Jackman went from superstar to superdad in Canada this week.
Jackman, who is in Vancouver filming the third instalment of the lucrative X-Men franchise, and wife Deborra-Lee Furness hosted a star-studded baby shower for their new daughter Ava.
The couple adopted Ava days after she was born in Texas in July.
The A-list gathering included Jackman's X-Men co-star Halle Berry, Australian actor Patrick Ward and prominent director Michael Rymer.
Besotted dad Jackman showed a bit of the talent that saw him collect a Tony Award last year for his performance in the Broadway production of The Boy From Oz, by serenading his tiny daughter with a heartfelt rendition of I Still Call Australia Home.
And he wore his heart openly on his sleeve singing the tender tune My Little Girl for the assembled guests while cradling Ava in his arms.
Insiders say there was not a dry eye among the close-knit gathering.
The couple's six-year-old son Oscar also won hearts at the soiree.
The family is expected to spend the next few months in Canada while Jackman completes filming X-Men 3.
The performer is expected to spend at least two months in Australia next year so he can star in what will surely be the hottest theatre ticket in town -- an arena-style production of The Boy From Oz.

If you're willing to suffer through a bad movie just to see Hugh, rent SWORDFISH. You see quite a bit of him.
I got an eyeful of Hugh from my 2nd row seat - Boy From Oz.
Would of course love to see more. :)
in which case, rent X2 and employ the freeze frame......

These are screencaps from an Aussie TV series he did called "Halifax" which he guest-starred and this episode was put on DVD as a movie called "Profile of a Serial Killer" which is available at amazon.com. Here's "more of Hugh" - I have the DVD - talk about HOT!

I've seen Swordfish, it definitely was an interesting movie... better than Someone Like You. It kind of freaked me out, but Hugh definitely looked fine in that movie! [see the third picture from my first post... he actually has an earring on the other ear, I believe] Anyway, I love the Hugh Jackman movies where you see the body... hehe

I lose Internet access for a few hours and this thread starts? :P
Okay, let's see:
-X3 is going to stink like a piece of Limberger that's been left in the sun.
-Jackman will, nevertheless, be hot.
-And that's why we all need to wait for The Fountain instead.
Oh, and the freeze frame is indeed a very useful tool.
