I Got a Callback For Spring Awakening. — Page 3

My didn't go well either. I think I phsyced myself up too much wehn i really just needed to ignow the fact I was auditioning for Spring Awakening for awhile. Also the accomaniment didn't relize that the soinf was in 6/8 time until the third bar so I was off with the piano. And the piano was just playing chords and I had never practiced it with chords only the real accomaniment part. Also chose the wrong song. Apparently the auditions were for Wendla because everyone was coming out with sides that said Wendla on them. My song was alto, Wendla is a soprano. I wasn't asked to read.

BUT on the bright side after my audition I went to TKTS and bought tickets to Frakenstien, and I get there and the girl playing the female lead, Elizabeth was at the auditions. She went before me and we shared an elevator. She had an amazing singing voice so I didn't feel so bad, because even at my best I couldn't compete with her. And also during intermission I saw Tommy Tune. I was waiting on line for the bathroom and he walked into the lobby and my jaw dropped. That completely made up for probobly my worst audition of all time.

Haha wow I can't believe I wrote that badly. I had just woken up. Good thing I had English first period that morning.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure. I looked over at her headshot, read the name on it and thought, "that name sounds familiar." Later when I saw Frankenstein I recognized the name and the face.

She looked rather young in person. I don't know how old she is but the way she was dressed she could pass for 19. But I do know SA likes to cast people who really are young rather than those who just look young.

Could she have been auditioning for the Adult Women role? I find it hard to believe she would audition for Wendla, if that was even her at all.

So what? Just because it's a non-singing role, a singing actress can't do it or wouldn't be interested? Personally, I'd love to play that role, at some point.
