The King: What was that for?
Buttercup: Because you have always been so kind to me, and I won't be seeing you again since I'm killing myself once we reach the honeymoon suite.
The King: Won't that be nice. She kissed me.
"Anybody want a peanut?"

Fezzik: [to Inigo regarding the man in black] You be careful. People in masks cannot be trusted.
Westley: There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours.

I hate using superlatives (it's the Most Annoying Thing In The World!), but if I was ever asked what was the closest we had to a perfect movie, I think The Princess Bride would be one of them.

Oh, "The Princess Bride" is one of my alltime feel-good movies. The book is even better, though, because of all the hilarious interruptions about what got cut out - the 120 edited pages of Buttercup packing her bags and whatnot. My personal favorite Goldman interjection? "My editor felt the Miracle Max section was too Jewish in sound [...] If Max and Valerie sound Jewish, why shouldn't they? You think a guy named Simon Morgenstern was Irish Catholic?"
But the movie is fantastic, too. Cary Elwes is forever on my "good" list because of it. "This is true love; do you think this happens everyday?" Just lovely.
