Violet: I thought it was Skinny & Sweet. It looks just like Skinny & Sweet, except for the skull and crossbones on the label!!
Doralee: "I've got a gun out there in my purse. Up until now I've been forgiving and forgetting because of the way I was brought up, but I'll tell you one thing. If you say another word about me or make another indecent proposal, I'm gonna get that gun of mine and I'm gonna change you from a rooster to a hen with one shot! And don't think I can't do it!

Atta girl.
robbiej stole my favorite quote.
I still wish Dolly would write a score for a musical version of this classic film.
Isn't that happening? Or was that just some sort of sick, twisted joke to play with our affections?
What I understood was that Dolly was writing an autobiographical musical, but I could be wrong.

I remember reading somewhere once that Jada Pinkett Smith wanted to make an updated version of "9 to 5" with an all black cast. I can just see Queen Latifah as Violet.
