Hey Everyone....Here's a Little UPDATE....
Our scrappy little group, BackStage Theatre fell of the Top 200 last night, and has regained it's footing. I think we are at No. 199 right now.
I just want to thank everybody for their continued support. Your response has been incredible and touching.
Because there's such a small range of votes between us and dropping off the board completely...EVERY vote is so important to us until the drive is over on July 13th.
So, if you could help us along but letting any theatre-loving frends know of our situation, it would be a tremendhous help!
I know if my gut that we wouldn't be as far along as we are without you help. You rock!!
Thank You All!
Michael aka Windy!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'm reluctant to ask this since some people might consider it to be "spam," but I have been a posting on the board since 2003....although not quite as much recently.
And if this gets deleted, well, at least I tried.
If you are a member of Facebook:
There's a Chase Community Giving Drive ....in which they are giving away 5 million dollars to various not-for-profit charities.
The top winner will get $250K
Four Runners-up will get $100K
and the remaining charities ranked No. 6 through 200 will receive $20k each!
My theatre company, BackStage Theatre (Chicago, IL) is currently in the top 200, but we NEED HELP staying there.
We just completed out 10th season, but like all non-Equity / not-for-profit theatres we could use the funding
If we are lucky enough to remain in the top 200, we hope to use the funds to establish a more steady financial foundation, possibly creating an endowment to insure that we have a modest source of income each season.
So, if you're on Facebook, I'd be grateful if you could help BackStage make a go for $20,000 in the Chase Community Giving project by voting for us.
Regardless of your decision, there are some very fine charities listed in the top 200, and you can also search for participating charities in your area.
I'm posting the link to our voting page.

Hope this stays on the board, but if not, I ask the moderators to "please, be kind."
Thanks Bunches,
Windy
