HURRAH! WELCOME! You now have a temporary license to gay. LOL

It's quite a liberating feeling, isn't it? Coming out relieved me of so much stress and anxiety. And at some point, you realize how natural it really is and you don't feel you have to hide it or change pronouns because if anyone has a problem with it, it's their problem, not yours. You don't have to "be gay", just be YOURSELF. Being gay is a part of you, but it doesn't have to define you. In my experience, people really respect that and I've made friends with many ex-homophobes when they realized that being gay to me was like being straight for them. It was simply an undeniable fact that needed no explanation.

Yes, I agree. Even if I come out to the whole world, I don't think I would emphasize it to the people around me every day. This identity thing is a part of me, but does not define who I am as a person.

And yes, it is somewhat of a liberating feeling. I felt so troubled only two months ago. I just don't feel like that anymore. At the same time, I think I will feel a lot better once I do tell people.

WOOHOO! I am so happy for you now that you have finished that nasty period of denial. It is liberating to finally except yourself, isn't it?

I remember when I first realized I was gay, it was like I felt like that's all I was. Well, none of us are just that, we are so many things....but it is a big part of who we are and like everyone else, I say, welcome!
