Posted: 9/27/05 at 11:24amI agree with you, Rose and CostumeMistress. I'm only 24, but I've been getting the ma'am stuff for a couple years now. It makes me automatically feel forty. (And why can't I get carded anymore for booze?!) I never call people ma'm, unless they're at least 70-looking and sometimes not even then. A nice "miss" every so often makes everybody feel good.

Posted: 9/27/05 at 11:25amI love it when I get carded at a bar. It just happened this past summer to boot. (I'll take it as long as I can!) BTW I tyink they were carding everyone anyhow, but it still nice to be asked.

sounds kinda like when i worked at a movie theater in the ticket booth. a gentleman came up and asked for two tickets? i took a look at him and his companion and asked, "one adult and one child?"
he replied, "what?"
i rethought my statement and after getting a better look at the "child" i realized it was his (much younger) wife and tried to cover my tracks,"so that's two tickets.."
