Did you get everything straightened out about your apartment, uniq?
I have never been crazy about the internet abbreviations either - they kind of put me on edge for some reason - why not just take the few extra seconds to type out the word or sentence? Is saving space so necessary?
Sort of. I got someone to move in and at least got my deposit back but I still need to find a place.
Honestly, I get annoyed when people abbreviate any word (other than state names on envelopes of course.)
Really people, it doesn't save *that* much time typing '4' instead of 'for.' Or 'four,' for that matter.
Literacy -- it's FANTASTIC!
What about thru for through? It took me a year to convince my sister that thru is not a word.
The strain probably comes from having to decide which one to use: for or four...

The worst for me is "I could care less." It should be "I couldn't care less." That just drives me crazy.

I don't mind when people type it in posts, as an abbreviation to save time. But when people SAY it, that really does bother me. No one ever pronounces it correctly.
I think if you don't abbreviate WTF? you are liable to get your post deleted. I am an offender who posts IMHO I do type it out when I realize I've abbreviated it. I don't do it on purpose. Strangely IMHO is the only abbreviation I use IMHO.
Thru is in the dictionary. Makes a lot more sense than through, too. ![]()
I hate IMHO, j/k, and "I hope this helps" :@
I sometimes abbreviate to avoid typing too much because I am often on the computer late at night, and the sound of the keys annoys people in my house who are trying to sleep. It's mostly a considerate thing.
so KMA. haha j/k
I do have a friend who actually talks in abreviation though. She says thing like, "LOL" instead of just laughing. It's weird.

Would the OP prefer 'IMNSHO'? Cuz mine isn't always humble.
I really HATE when people start a post with "Uhm, Hello" or some similar, rude littel expression. I can understand it when the person you are responding to has said something very obviously ignorant but I see this being used when it is uncalled for. I recently saw it in either the Most Baeutiful Woman or Most Beautiful Man thread. After a few posts where people listed their picks someone came along and posted "Uhm hello, what about..." It's like saying "You're stupid for not mentioning MY favorite"
Thank you letting vent....I'm in a foul mood this morning and needed to do that.
Um hello, like O, u should be happy. ![]()

SonofMMS,
Needless to say, IMHO, I could care less irregardless of what anyone thinks.
I also dislike the addition of letters into a word for emphasis;
Idina is soooo coool
Cheno is aaawsome
Whateva! Like I could soooo care less.
