I love pears! As a kid the texture kind of threw me, because it was like an apple's. But now I love them. Had them in a salad just last night (with arugula, walnuts, and goat cheese, for those who care).

Harry and David's Royal Riviera pears might just change your mind.
So juicy you eat them with a spoon!

I too hate pears. The only apples I like are Granny Smith.

I know it's not a fruit, but I absolutely detest onions! *retch*

I used to get Fruit of the Month from a business contact- and I loved it- except- The Royal Riviera Pears. And when the "Fruit of the Month" wasn't ripe on time they would substitute MORE pears. I got about 6 months worth of pears. I gave all the pears to my friend Suzanne (who loved pears but HATED Bananas- how bizarre, huh?). She used to call it the "Pears of the Month Club."

And don't even get me started on Melon.

I was served a salad with watermelon & feta cheese that I was able to choke down but aside from that, melon is vile.

Oh yes. Tons. I'm actually annoyed at how many foods I'm squeamish about. It just doesn't occur to me to say they're vile; I just think I don't like them.

I think most of my food issues are about texture. Anything gritty I don't like. Lots of berries freak me out that way, with their tiny little seeds. It took me a lot of effort to get to like tomatoes for just that reason.

But I actually can't stand the taste of raspberries, even raspberry-flavored things. But again, I think of that as just me.
