Raspberries make my tongue raw.

Another fruit I don't like is Zucchini. But I do like zucchini bread, strangely enough.

I usually find zucchini alone to be rather bland. I do like zucchini bread, too!

I like applesauce and I used to like apple juice, but I just don't like regular apples. Or apple flavored candy.

Zucchini (which is a vegetable) is only good if you roast or grill it- Slice it, toss it in olive oil & some seasonings and dump it out on a sheet pan and pop it in a hot oven till browned. Heaven! Or slice it diagonally and grill it till browned and then toss it in some oil & vinegar and serve! MMMMmmmm!

Puts pears to shame!

Technically, zucchini is a fruit, but it's eaten as a vegetable. Same as tomatoes. Basically, anything with seeds is classified as a fruit.

Zucchini a Fruit? Why I never! I am all confused now- especially since the definition of a fruit is "a part that developed from the ovary of a flowering plant" but then they still say Peas are vegetables! Insane!

Does anyone remember that episode of Tales from the Darkside where that kind of heavy lady was trying fad diets and bought these glasses that made her food (specifically, an apple whose personality I don't recall, a sexy lady pear and a Brooklynese-speaking banana) have faces and talk to her to deter her from eating? In the end, they find her rotting corpse in her house with her lips sewn shut, which she did to herself because she couldn't bear to eat her new talking friends. I never understood why a diet product would discourage you from eating fruit, though.

I LOVE Pears. Probably my favorite fruit.

I love Raspberries, thought only as raspberries. Jams, jellies, fillings, etc. gross me out.

I'll agree that star fruit is nasty, and I've never been able to get behind carrots or bananas.

I hate water chestnuts.

Odd texture, no taste, and they load them into Chinese food.

And Starfruit sucks too. Looks fun, tastes nasty.

wow, so much to discuss.

i am a big fan of melons.

i am not a fan of pears. don't really hate them, but am not a fan. koreans have these giant pears that get served at every freakin' gathering that they rave about. i sit quietly and think, "it's a f***ing pear. not so sweet and it's a bit gritty."

love berries of all types.

I also dont like apples in their pure form, but like them in pies, etc.

I feel the opposite about raisins. I can eat them alone, but do NOT bake them in to anything or put them in my salad or cereal! Then they are too much like roaches...and not the good kind!

I can't stand pears, either. And the only apple I like is Granny Smith. I have a weird allergy to melons, mangoes and certain other fruits and vegetables (unless they are cooked) that absorb pollen, but don't metabolize it. It's not a food allergy, but an "oral allergy". Except for mangoes, it's not too bad and it's a seasonal allergy, but it's not worth eating most of the stuff that causes a reaction. It took me YEARS to figure out what was going on as I was constantly misdiagnosed. I don't have the same problem with pears, though. I just hate the flavor and texture.

Pears are awful. My pearants used to have a thing for Comice pears (I think - the ones that taste kind of furry) and bought a bag of them every week for about three months. I just had to grin and pear it, but god, never again.

Bananas and mangoes can suck it, too. Also, I've only had durian once, but that was more than enough... what a terrible, terrible, horrible, terrible smell.

I adore Fredricksburg pears.......the fruit I have an aversion to is Kiwi.

Pears are ok. But I don't think I like any kind of melon. Cantelope, honeydew, watermelon. None of them. Don't like apples either. I love blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries though.
