This morning a girl was born into our family! Which hasn't occurred in generations, pretty much. The best part is that I found out with a FACEBOOK message on my wall from my brother saying, and I quote: "it has a vagina." Hah...my family doesn't really do "sentimental"

Hah how am I supposed to know! We had kind of given up hope that we would have one.
Hah....but now I have to re-evaluate my nicknaming scheme. This one was gonna be Slurpy, but I'm not sure if it suits a girl (The other two are Spanky and Squishy).

Thanks everyone!
This is the third child for my oldest brother, and I know all the women in the family have certainly wanted a girl for a long time now. She was 8 pounds, 8 ounces, healthily pink with a smidgen of hair.
Her baby naming will be on Thursday morning, but I know there is a name already picked out.

Congrats, Akiva!
I'm an Aunt twice over and I can honestly say that I didn't know what it meant to fall head over heels in love until I met those two little girls. Take lots of pictures. They grow and change so fast.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
