I just thought I would finally come out and tell all my friends that I am straight. For years I tried to convince myself that I was a lesbian. I can't live this lie anymore. There, I said it!
I applaud your bold statement Yenta, especially among the BWW community.
YENTA! WHY DO YOU CRUSH MY DREAMS!

Marlene, it was a tough decision to make. I always thought that because I have short hair, wear sensible shoes and like Broadway that I was a lesbian.

I just received a PM with evidence that not only are your straight, but you are actully married to Dollypop!!!!

Oh please! I am not married to DollyPop. He is gay and even worse than that.........he's Catholic!
We should make a soap opera starring Yenta and Dolly.
pendleton shirts.....I'm shocked, shocked and not surprised.....I mean you never wore workboots OR flannel
Where were you when I had the Bat Mitzvah question? Why should I care now is what I want to know?
Damn! Elphaba stole what I was going to say, but I will anyway:
I'm shocked! (But not surprised.)

As I am determined to contact my Broadway Brothers and Sisters I thought I would stick my nose in where it isnt welcome and say good for you for what ever the heck it is your going on about. Please be kind to me as I am desperate for friends having made enemies of the entire United Kingdom by singing Sondheim on a loop-thats all really-be nice- and if you cant be nice be funny
( I am bored at work)

By the way _ I am a gay Catholic who knows nothing about Broadway-teach me gently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who cares? (Ok, just kidding)

Did anyone else think of Streisand?
I tried to think of something witty to say, but I cannot.
All I can say is that if that's all it took to be a lesbian, I'd certainly be one.
And every one of you have brightened my day. =]

I'm Catholic, not practising because I agree with Yenta that it's all a bit crap. Catholcism, that is. And my sexuality is a bit of a mystery...
I'm with Elphaba. Shocked, but not surprised.
Sorry Yenta, I guess you're now just another straight Jewish girl like me.

Maybe we should write a sitcom about straight Jewish Broadway lovers who share an apartment with a gay catholic friend. Think of the hilarious possibilities!
Sounds like Will and Grace

That's what i started thinking. but then I said, all we have to do is not put a ridiculous ending onto it and it'll be better.
I didn't think the ending was ridiculous. Will & Grace didn't stay together as most people would've guessed, but fate DID bring them back together.
Though in one episode, Will & Jack fight over who knows more about Grace and Jack says she wants to name her daughter Lilly. The fact that her daughter was named Lilah (or something along those lines - but NOT Lilly) really annoys me. I'm quirky like that.

We'll put you on the writing team for our new SitCom and you can be in charge of making sure straight old Yenta names her kids what she says she will.
Sweet.

BTW; you're not really paralysed after being hit by a light, are you? I presumed that was a joke on that life-changing thread.
