most of them wouldn't make the first cut on American Idol.
How did you re-watch it? My friend sang back up for Elton and I totally missed it! If there is any way that I can watch that please let me know. Thanks
They re-ran it on VH1 and MTV, without commercial interruption. You can see anything here:

Didn't like her. Don't like her. Don't know why she's who she is.
WOOHOO!! Thanks!!! I can totally see him during the Bitch is Back song! Not too hard - he's the only White guy in the group LOL
New question: is there anyway to save that video in a form of a link to send to people or do I just have to send them the link of where to download it from?

I'll check it out.
Let me know if you can spot him! :) Updated On: 7/9/05 at 08:52 PM
Yes, very easy to spot. How did he get that gig?
I rewatched it again today, and I think there were quite a few artists that came off pretty decent...even some that I don't particularly care for, like Madonna.
Very cool about your friend, btw, Popular. I taped it, so I'll have to rewatch it and look for him!
He's friends with Adam McKnight who is the leader of the "Voice of Atlanta Gospel Choir" ( http://www.adammcknight.com/ )
Through him he got to do the recordings on the latest Elton album, and then eventually the tour.
I don't remember the connection between Adam and Elton. But trust me, connections shpronections, he's there cause he can sing!!!
Todd singing some Jason Robert Brown! :)

I've never understood the thrill of watching a live performace on television.
True it's not the same but not everyone can make it to certain shows so it's the next best thing. I, for one am glad when they're televised (even just to see one number on the Tony's for example)...and of course, I'm super excited to have been able to see my friend just now so I have no complaints!!!!

I liked watching it better the second time... no commerical interruptions and no talking!
Agreed. It was nice how MTV showed a seperate special with all of the pertinant info that was aired last week during the show. I certainly want to know about the cause, the One Campaign, DATA, etc, but they kept showing the same 20 mintues worth of footage over and over and over again. It's important information that should be aired, but they just did such a shoddy job last week...and their hosts were AWFUL! It was much better this time around. Though, it was still kind of a bummer that they showed some acts (U2, McCartney, Coldplay, Madonna, Mariah Carey, etc) on both VH1 and MTV while there were other artists who weren't shown at all. I don't think they showed a single Canadian act in the 10 hours of footage (come to think of it, there wasn't anything from Paris, Rome, or Moscow, either). I would have liked to have seen Neil Young's performance from Toronto...though it was nice that they showed Orchestra Baobab from Johannesburg!
ETA: I was bummed that Die Totten Hosen didn't make an appearance from Berlin!
