I agree. And I think the difference between the films Pixar is putting out and other animated attempts (especially current Disney) is their attention to the script.
Sure, the animation is great and fun and inventive but Pixar seems committed to producing films with actual engaging screenplays. Nemo, Toy Story (1 and 2), The Incredibles...these films have scripts on a par with the best live-action films every year.

I watched the DVD last night too (saw it in the theatre as well). God, they need a sequel just for Edna!!! What a great, fun movie! I've yet to browse through the bonus features...should be amusing though!

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed "The Incredibles". Excellent movie!

I watched this movie again, last night. It's hilarious, and surprisingly poignant and truthful in some parts. For example, consider the part where Helen believes that Bob is cheating on him. She goes to the car before he pulls out, and tell him that she loves him. Nice moment that you don't see very often, in animation or live action.

I think now's the time to also recognize Michael Giacchino, whose blaring, past-paced, jazz-infused score added a LOT to the movie.

scotty I totally agree. Normally I wouldn't like a movie like that, but they made it excellent. I also just watched Monsters, Inc. and realized that that is fabulous too.
