One of the finest films ever made, Silence of the Lambs, was a Jonathan Demme film.

Well, all artists are allowed to goof once in a while!

I do have to say that if the film made this large of an impression on all of you, then it's proof must have done something right.

I don't think it made a large impression on me at all. I had forgotten I'd seen it until this thread came up. Was it intented to conjure up indifference? I don't think calling it art is anything special since everything can be defined as art. I make art in the toilet around 10 am every morning.
