Michael Snow's WAVELENGTH...
Begins on one side of the room and ends on a picture of waves on a beach.
It was actually pretty cool to watch because of the huge amount of tension inherent.

That reminds me of Warhol's Empire, which is simply a VERY long pan up (or is it down?) the Empire State Building.
