I agree with Tiff, I HATE public transit, but only the Vancouver buses since they run on stupid times and sometimes just choose not to come....
Tiff u a Nucks fan?

Am I a Nucks fan?? Lady! (Or Man!) I've got a half-season pack that'll be expanded to full-season next year! (Assuming I'm still in town. Might go to school in Ontario or Alberta, but I don't have it in me to cheer for the enemy...or even worse...IGINLA.)
The 98-B is the very reason I refuse to public transit. I'd sooner stay home.

Posted: 1/10/06 at 11:48pmSeattle has a decent bus system. I'm just to friggin spoiled... and on days like these, I'm glad I'm not standing outside waiting for the bus.

I figured as much, cant be a Vancouverite without loving the Nucks... beating Toronto 3-2 fyi
My parents used to go in on season tickets with family friends but since my brother and I are living on the East coast during the hockey season they didnt get them this year...

Yeah, I'm channel surfing to find it right now. Sportsnet, right? Is it in intermission?
Plum, 98-B are these superlong buses that have an accordion-like middle that attach the two - think two average-length buses back to back.

Well, excuse me for not knowing the fancy Canadian name for what we hick Americans call a "bus".

Posted: 1/11/06 at 12:06amwow really off topic but Tiff 4-2 Canucks (Carter just scored, assisted by both twins)

Yay! (I'm trying to keep up on Yahoo! Sports but they delay their updates.) The Carter/twins line has been doing well. We really need as many points as we can get. I can't believe Ottawa's been doing so well - have you caught any games this season yet?
Plum, off-topic question. Can you name 5 Canadian provinces off the top of your head?

Jesus, DD!
I used to be able to name all of the American states off the top of my head, nearly alphabetically.
<-- Loser.
Toronto power-play! Damn you, Burrows! (Who is this, some Moose call-up? He scored the third goal too, eh?)
ETA: F*CK, I KNEW they'd score! Dammit, we're so screwed with Cloutier. I think he's essentially out for the rest of the season, because he'll be okay earliest late-March, and they're not just gonna throw him in for the playoffs.

I can name all the American states
... why is that Canadians learn both American and Canadian history and our neighbours don't?...
Tiff~I went to the Canada v. US jr game on New Years Eve during my winter break and I have two friends, on Seattle Thunderbirds so I went to a Giants game but no Canucks game since I was only home for a limited time

I know, what's up with that??
Did you really go to the junior game?? How'd you get tickets? That must've been AMAZING! The crowd there was wild! I was at the bar at Boston Pizza, watching the Minneapolis/Vancouver game on the big screen but they played the junior game right next to it, and that was the better one to watch. It seems Giants and Junior games are more spirited than NHL.

Posted: 1/11/06 at 12:25amWhen they first announced the jrs were going to play in Vancouver my parents were season ticket holders so we got priority seating/tickets, I was really lucky it was WILD, as for Cloutier I think Auld will do until the trade deadline and then Nonis should go for Lungo or some big name like that

I don't even know why they're alternating Auld and Oulette as much as they are. I've always felt more confident with Auld than Oulette, which I thought was too sporadic in the MN game. How were your seats?
You have to earn my love, DD. *haughty sniff*
