Oh, come on!
ANY person that becomes president, by the end of their term when re-election comes, a list of 'what they did wrong' ALWAYS comes about.
If Kerry becomes President, in four years, there will be a list for him, and then people will be wanting change again.
One person cannot satisfy 6 billion people, whether he's republican or democrat. It's America.
Bush would have had to do SOMETHING right to get millions of people to vote for him - AND tenatively win again.

Posted: 11/3/04 at 11:15amYeah, I'm crying, Rodney. Go ahead and take that as a sign that I'm a wimp. Watching Bush win this thing felt like a goddamn tragedy to me. I love this country, so I'll cry for it. And for my roommate, who worked so goddamn hard for Kerry, saw it pay off, and still has to deal with a President who thinks she's not a real citizen. And for my friends who can't find jobs. And for children who are getting asthma because of outrageous air pollution, then can't get health insurance. And for soldiers stuck in a war that shouldn't be happening. Watch my heart bleed, you prick. Compassion isn't weakness.

Apparently Rodney is a result of education cuts that Bush has and will continue to implement. Rodney is an uneducated fool thanks to the Republican policy.
I'm sorry Rodney that you lack basic communication skills. Thanks the commander in chimp for your lacking.

Posted: 11/3/04 at 11:49amThe absolute ignorance of some people on this board never ceases to amaze me. Instead of presenting a logical argument, you name call. You put up a picture to make fun of someone. It is so immature. I feel like we're dealing with a child here. I honestly believe my 10 year old sister could present a better political argument. God knows she has more compassion. You fail to realize that those of us who were supporting Kerry were doing so because we love this country. We don't want to sit by and watch be destroyed. I live 2 blocks below ground zero in NYC. I see the damage EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I am sorry but the fact that Bush ignored warnings is unacceptable to me. It should be unacceptable to each and every person in this counrty. We have been told very clearly that Iraq was a smoke screen. It had nothing to do with 9/11, yet everyone chooses to ignore this information. I am dismayed and embarrassed to be living in a country full of ignorant people like this. You embody this ignorance.

Posted: 11/3/04 at 3:10pmRodney, I'm not that fond of John Kerry. I don't hate Bush. I agree and disagree with both of them on differing issues. But what I dislike out of anyone is absolute ignorance...the type that cannot verbalize their views nor argue a point without making faces and using insults, the type that jumps on the bandwagon to support whatever innane political view holds sway or wins an election...even if it is morally wrong (afterall, some of our worst Presidents were two termers..anyone remember the Andrew Jackson story?). If we just differed in our views, I could still respect you and perhaps , even be convinced by your reasonable arguments, but instead, like almost every other gloating Republican I've come into contact with today, you're just acting like an ass

Actually, I don't know the Andrew Jackson story, can you please share?
Thanks.

Andrew Jackson was a very popular President from the South. The first time he ran, he defeated John Q Adams, who was perceived by the lower and middle class, esp in the south, to be a snob, whereas Jackson was seen as more of a commoner. Despite his popularity, his two terms, and his face being put on the twenty dollar bill, Jackson was a horrible man. He was a slaveowner, a mysogenist, and was responsible for many atrocities against Indians, notably the Indian Removal Act which resulted in the trail of tears. Interestingly, the Supreme Court, under Chief Justice John Marshall, ruled that the Indian Removal Act was unconstitutional, to which Jackson reportedly said, "John Marshall has made a ruling, now let him enforce it" and proceeded ahead with removing the Choctaws and Cherokees who were almost totally westernized and who had been at peace with the white settlers for many years..
he was popular at the time, but history now shows that his years in office were a very dark period in our history.

well now he has 4 more years to prove himself and Avenue Q doesnt have to change it lyrics for another 4 years. just watching last night and seeing how close this election was and everyone saying that there has to be bipartisan work on action. Hopefully the constitution isnt changed so that in 4 years Arnold "the governanator" Schwarzenegger can run for president. If that happens we are all screwed.
US Grant was another president who did nothing in office and he's on the $50, he only was in office for two terms.

IN defense of Grant,
I believe he's on the fifty due to his service during the war, which is also why he was elected president.
