Chinese food got one... Indian food definitely deserves a thread of its own.
New addiction, as of this past summer.
Now tell me, where are the best Indian restaurants in NY (Long Island or any of the boroughs)?

Murray Hill aka Curry Hill. $10 lunch buffets make my life better. Mint is really popular. Just don't go to Curry in a Hurray- that place is overpriced.
The reasons I love Indian buffets:
1. Unlimited naan
2. Unlimited kheer (rice pudding)
3. Those 2 things alone are worth over $10.
4. I get to try new dishes that I normally wouldn't have.
We have an AMAZING Indian buffet near me here in Central NJ. They're chicken tikka masala and chicken mahkni dishes are AMAZING.
Also a huge fan of the Saag paneer.
JACKSON DINER (queens landmark, and newly, in downtown Manhattan)!
$7.99 lunch buffet at local fixture near my college in upstate NY. Cannot beat that.

7.99?! I would consider moving upstate just for that! I'm going to the Indian buffet near me here on LI tomorrow for lunch. Can't wait!
I'm a huge fan of GOOD saag paneer. I had some less than amazing saag paneer at a buffet back in Dallas... while it was still edible, it was not amazing and that is unacceptable.
No Indian places here, but Uncle Ben's (weird, I know) makes a Tikka Masala sauce in a jar. It is FANTASTIC. I add vegetarian chicken and serve with basamati rice and garlic naan from the grocery. SO YUMMY! I would LOVE an Indian buffet, though. lol
ahhrealmonsters, What are some good $10 buffet places? I looked at Mint and it looks more expensive than that.
There's a place I used to go to in Lowell, MA that has a ten dollar lunch buffet. If I could go there all the time I would. Their food is amazing and their naan is spectacular and I could eat baskets upon baskets of it all day. The best is their chicken curry ... especially with naan. I love their tamarind chicken too. Of course typing this out and reading this topic in general is making me incredibly hungry.
