Thought I'd start a thread about how I don't think I've ever gone out with anyone who wasn't a big geek. I love the geeky gay. They're so hot, and they so rarely know how hot they are.
I love 'em.
Well, I also like a nice straight boy with a bit of Dilbert in him.
Must be because my dad was an Engineer . . . hmmmm.
a white geeky boy with glasses. yum!
(i would post a photo, but i'd better not push my luck.)

Good question...I wish I could define it explictly...it is less deductive than that.
Geeky men I've dated tend to be really into something "not socially acceptable" (i.e. Star Trek or computers), skinny and gaunt, big glasses, social interaction is hard to manage, etc.
Hard to describe with 100% certainty...it's more of a "I know it when I see it" sort of reduction.
My favorite type of man! You gotta love a guy who knows that a little bit of nerdy talk can go a long way.
and then there is the uber-geek.....irresistible
utterly.
I don't fit under Addy's descriptions of geek (especially the third one). But I do fit under katygrace's description of geek. Hmmmm.....
Not my description.
Webster's...
cookie, i'm not going to warn you again about that av!
Oh my Gawd! I used to date this guy who would go on and on about how Microsoft was evil and he was trying to get his computer to run on Linux. And how he was certain he could create an MP3 player for his car that would connect to the internet while he was driving. Woo! I'm getting hot again just thinking about it.

Funny thing is, I fit that description. I'm skinny, love Star Trek: TNG, have a degree in Computer Science, run Linux and have glasses!
Aren't most theatre-lovers geeks, thought? Hence the term "theatre geek"?
ST:TNG?? my fave tv show of all time
I'm a theatre geek, but my geekiness doesn't extend beyond the theatre. Well, I'm a yoga geek too, but I don't wear a pocket protector or look like Arvid from Head of the Class.
I am a theater geek and a math geek - I love number puzzles and logic puzzles. My husband works in comic books and loves anything science fiction. I love geeks :)
I like the nerdy type -- like what Gideon Yago of MTV looked like before he went rugged on us. Neatly combed hair (particlarly with a part on the side), horn-rimmed glasses, a tucked-in dress shirt, and slacks with a belt. Yum!
Geeks....
*Drools everywhere*
This is all the definition of geek anybody needs.
Bring it on.
I'd bring it, IF THE PICTURE WORKED!
Thanks Jaily.
GRRR...I dunno how to fix it. I must have a gremlin. Evil, this technology crap, EVIL, I say! You've all seen it before anyway...
On second thought, *any* photo of me is definitive of the very essence of geek, so it doesn't matter.

love the geeky ones. not necessarily the total nerds, but i love the ones who are good with computers, possibly glasses, really smart, yet at the same time are cute, sweet, funny. (prime examples: mark in RENT and seth on the OC!)
gotta love the geeks!
