I love horseradish. I hope there're no weird hidden meanings to this thread, because I genuinely love horseradish and think it's great. Can you imagine mashed potatoes with horseradish? Ohhh, sounds epic! :3
I'm with you, Weez. Roast beef is just 'blah' without it and a little on a hamburger makes it soar! (I'm also talking about the spicy root vegetable. On this board it could mean anything.)

Horseradish mens horseradish. We had roast beef with a 'rad sauce Xmas eve and I was moved to celebrate it.
If you love horseradish, try Cabot's Horseradish cheddar. It's the best cheese on the planet.
I was just going to mention horseradish cheddar cheese - it's fantastic!!!
Have to agree with the OP. Horseradish is truly wonderful.
Do you ever find that sometimes you just want a little dab straight from the jar?
When I was a kid...we had several horseradish plants in our garden...there's nothing better (Horseradish wise) than FRESHLY grated and prepared Horseradish...it has a real KICK!

At work (a deli), we have gross/spicy food eating contests. Last week was a syrup chugging contest. Today? Eating whole spoonfulls of straight wasabe powder.
I made the mistake of thinking the wasabe was guacamole the first time I had sushi.
Popped the whole thing in my mouth.
I'll never do THAT again.
I could have tripped and hurt my ankle...
Yancy's Fancy's makes a yummy horseradish cheddar as well.
Here in Buffalo, we have what is called "Beef on Weck". It's sliced roast beef with au jus, and horseradish on a kummelweck roll. (The roll has kummelweck seeds and salt.) To die for.

Diva I took someone out for Sushi and he didn't want to admit he had no idea what it was. He ate a forkful of Wasabi. I thought we were going to have to call an ambulance. Of course, he reacted twice as badly when someone explained what Sushi was.

No, actually, a straight kid who worked for me. He did get off a "Ah, I thought it tasted familiar!" but he was still pretty green.
StockardFan, those are delicious! We have them in Syracuse too.
It's definitely an upstate/western NY thing!
