I'll just sing and dance "Turkey Lurkey Time" for Besty, it doesn't have his name in it but I know he likes the head-popping and the nonsensical lyrics...any volunteers to accompany me?

Yes it is, and interestingly-this is the top of a new building that the artist Julian Schnabel is building on top of an already standing one. Some people think it's an eyesore but I think it's stunning!
It's in my neighborhood and I'm trying to think of a way I can ever get inside there!

Next time I'm in Paris, DG, I have to "day trip" to Giverny. It truly is walking around in a Monet painting.
We did one day trip on our visit and that was to Versailles. No regrets there, I just want to go back and see more now!

The red building is still under construction. I tried to crop that part out. It's so gorgeous, full of arched terraces, very European. I'll post a pic when it's done!

Aw, thank you, Tazzy! There are a lot more where they came from (well, actually, more south!) Taking pictures in France is the easiest because everywhere you look is a photo op! If Besty wants 'em, I'll post 'em!

Knowing that someone with the wit, charm, taste and talent of best12bars would enjoy a good cartoon reference, I have to say that the picture of the Louvre made me think of the episode of "Pinky and the Brain" where Brain is pretending to be Napoleon in his efforts to take over the world.
They're in a coach and riding past the Louvre and Brain asks, "Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
To which, Pinky replies, "I think so Brain! That building would look great with a huge glass Pyramid in front of it!"
