Just too excited and had to share, I leave tommorow night for 8 days. Any suggestions, must sees for the trip?

I just went for Christmas. It would have been a lot more fun had my a--hole brother not been there, but what're you going to do... My favorite part of the whole trip was MGM Studios. There's this ride where you actually go through some really classic movies. It had elements of cheese in it, but I thought it was really fun anyway.
i've never been there but all i know is there's a picture of adam pascal in the hotel shaped like a guitar lol
have fun!
One of the families that I work with announced that they are going in May and invited me to go along. Yay! I haven't been since I was like 10.

Abba, which hotel was that? That's so funny!
woah, which hotel? I went over the summer...I wouldve made my family take me there. I personally hated Disney World. It was too hot.
i don't know the name but the hotel is shaped like a guitar and the pool is shaped like a piano. my friend stayed there this past summer
Abba, perhaps it was the AllStar Music Resort which has two pools, one shaped like a guitar and one shaped like a piano. It has a section that is broadway themed, which is where I stayed when I went.
jarret, do not miss the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or the Tower of Terror in MGM. They are the best rides in the entire park!
AllStar Music Resort
yeah that's the one :)

Take some pictues of that for us if you can. Or does anyoe know where I can find a picture online of it?
my friend took a picture of it... it's burried in my inbox. i'll find it by the end of the day lol
I've been to Disneyland too!
The Rock 'n Roller Coaster is absolutely brilliant.. Have fun!!
I'm a softie for Splash Mountain.
Don't forget to use Fast Pass for rides.
SorryGrateful, you were there this Christmas? So was I! WTF, why didn't we meet up??
Okay, I had 8 days there too. You've got 4 WDW parks, plus Kennedy Space Centre and Universal Studios. You only need one day for Animal Kingdom (and you MUST do the Safari, which is fantastic). "A Bug's Life 3-D" was good (exactly the same as Cali Adventure). Also check out the Lion King Show, and Tarzan (Tarzan sucks but the guy in the loin cloth is a buff Greek GOD). Skip Pocahontas. Trust me.
MGM was okay, but no one else wanted to go on the Coaster or Tower of Terror except for me, so I didn't.
But they're supposed to be good. Indiana Jones was good, but Lights, Cameras, Motors was PACKED with people and was also very impressive. Check out Fantasmic. Skip Beauty and the Beast. Overall, I preferred Universal, but both are worth seeing with one day each.
Magic Kingdom was fun, but I've been to Disneyland 3 times, so nothing new for me. I thought Spectromagic was overrated but the fireworks afterwards were great! If you've been to Disneyland, you only need one day for this, otherwise make it two.
My favorite was Epcot. Loved! Epcot! Future World was fun, especially Mission: Space, which simulates take-off, fit with your facial skin being pulled back, and barf-bags at the ready in front of you. "Soarin'" is fun (unless you've been to "Soarin' Over California" at Cali Adventure), and if you're staying at a WDW resort, try to go to Epcot during Magic Hours because the lines vanish and it's much more enjoyable.
My favorite part of Epcot, though, is the World Showcase, especially if you've travelled internationally, and get a kick at the cheesiness and the fond memories. And as a disclaimer - Canada is NOT how it's portrayed, and the video presentation (in an impressive 360-degree theatre) makes us look like backward hicks who sing folk songs and fables and we don't. (Except for those in the Maritimes.
) I really liked France (and the France video presentation) - don't miss the Patisserie there. The lines move quickly and the patries are impressive. Japan has great shopping. Epcot also had the most impressive fireworks display out of all of the parks, IMHO. It's in the World Showcase Lagoon and the best view is on the bridge in front of "Italy". I'd take two days at Epcot.
I also had the pleasure of dining with broadwaystar2b at Downtown Disney, which is cute for a lazy afternoon or evening. You're lucky to be going during low season - I had crowds, which was the biggest impediment on the trip.
PM me if you have any more questions. I just got my photos developed and everything's still fresh in my mind, so I'll probably give you TMI!

Well, I recommend checking out Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk at night. They've got some neat stores over there, and DisneyQuest rocks no matter how old you are. Planet Hollywood is really neat as well, especially if you sit near the top.
Someone said to not forget FastPasses...and don't!
Take your time in World Showcase and stop in each country to take a look at everything. It's really pretty.
Magic Kingdom is really fun. I found it more fun than Disneyland because there were a lot of cooler rides, and it wasn't all packed together. It was very spread out. (But don't ride Stitch's Escape...it's not good!)
When you have spare time, check out some of the hotels. Have some dinner at one of the restaurants in them. I recommend California Grill at the Contemptorary (sp) or Artist's Point at Wilderness Lodge.
I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, strangely enough. It's beautiful over there. Just a little hint.
Most importantly, HAVE FUN! You're going to have a great time.
At disney, i'm all about splash mountain. It never gets old! But beware of the massive lines. Definitly go for the fast passes, they help like you wouldn't believe.
They really do.
And honest to god, if you're staying at any of the WDW resorts, pick up the pamphlet that says which park has the Magic Hours. I never used the morning hours, but the evening hours were a pleasure.
Wow, Gavroche, you stayed at Wilderness Lodge? That's supposed to be one of the nicest resorts there! We stayed at Pop Century, which was budget and cutesy - but my GOD, the walk from the parking lot to our room was a hike and a half!
