I am finally going to go see some theatre tonight. It has been over a year since I went to the theatre to see a show. I am going to see "The Foreigner" in Charlotte, NC and I can't wait. Woo Woo.

I, too, thought it was "verkelmpt", but after seeing some proof sent to me by another, much more famous board member, I now know the truth...

The correct spelling is either "farklempt" or "ferklempt".

Of course, I will continue to use my incorrect spelling, as I have no little Yiddish-speaking grandmother to hit me with a spatula if I'm wrong.

When he's finished with that project, he can help me finish the new musical I'm working on. It's called MESSAGE BOARDS: the musical. Everything was going well until I started writing the big number, "Corine's Turn". Now I have writer's block.

Right now. The only word I can come up with that rhymes with "Corine" is "gin".

It doesn't work well...
"Corine is lookin' hot
Corine is really cool
Corine is drinking gin....ggggin....gggin...."

Ever notice how Superman and Clark Kent are never in the same place at the same time?

And Dollypop, I always thought Corine sounded differently than that.
Instead of 'gin', I think it rhymes with "teen", or "chlorine".
Surely, this will open up a world of possibilities for you.

Just got back from the show. GREAT, GREAT play. I laughed my butt off.....and even my sister (who thought she hated theatre) loved it. The same place is doing LAST FIVE YEARS in mid-August and I am definetly going. YES!!!!!
