Please know that you are in my thoughts -- 20 years is a long time and you were lucky to have each other.

Posted: 9/18/08 at 3:08pmI'm crying just reading the stories. A year ago we had to put our beautiful boxer Tazzy down. I said my good byes to her at the house and again in the car. I couldn't be in the room, couldn't handle it, but she passed being held by my sister and my mother. They both said she was comfortable. She was the best dog ever and is still so missed by our family and her doggie sisters.

well yesterday afternoon I was give a 4 week reprieve. More blood tests, one more round of chemo. Of course the cat just lays around like a limp rag, or hides from us expecting more meds/hot packing of tumor, etc.
all my savings for a new car this yr have gone for cancer treatments of this beautiful boy. you can see the shaved part from 2 surgeries at the rabies shot site.

Bobby I just saw this thread.
I'm so sorry for your loss! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Posted: 9/18/08 at 5:21pmI went through this a few months ago and it was heartbreaking. The only condolence was knowing she would no longer suffer. But it was devastating, nonetheless. I'm sorry you have to go through it, but just remember all the love and happiness you were able to provide for her. Just hold her and love her through the end. That is the best advice that I can give.
