After 36 years of teaching, I'm emotionally drained. If anyone has an enotion to spare, I'd appreciate it.

Gratitude is a good emotion.

That you are employed.
That you could make a difference (if you wanted to).
That you have your health.
That you have the opportunity to live in/near NYC.

...the list is probably pretty long.

I hope you have plans to retire soon, given how much you complain about having to teach.

Then you can be grateful that you aren't in the classroom.
And the students can be grateful, too!

Gratitude.
That's my favorite emotion.
