Darn, Sueleen! You ruined it.
Alice Faye is having "lunch tomorrow at The Palmer House."
Harris did it?
Tyrone Power has got to be the best looking man on the silver screen EVER!
Glebb, if you look closely you can see a glimpse of really old Chicago. There is a shot of a store that used to be known as Marshall Field's.
I'll have to look for that.
Thanks SueleenGay.

And don't forget one of my favorites Alice Brady (as Mrs. O'Leary herself) won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress!
Oh, and Tyrone?
Yeah.
Dang!
Tryrone last picture was Solomon & Sheba
He did about 1/2 of the movie when he had a massive heart attack & died. His part was reshot with Yul Brynner. Some long shots with his back to the camera is still him

Now, you see, when I hear the phrase "Old Chicago", I think of Old Chicago - the combination shopping mall/indoor amusement park that opened in sububan Bollingbrook, Illinois in the mid-1970's and went bankrupt about ten years later.
By the way, the site where O'Leary's barn stood is now the site of the Chicago Fire Department's training center.
This thread title has had me humming Madeline Kahn's "Das Chicago Song" all day.
