I've rented a place on Frauen Insel (Island) before....and love it

Herrenchiemsee (Men's Island)

The castle on the Men's Island is one of the biggest tourist attractions in upper Bavaria. In 1873 Ludwig II acquired the island and erected a pompous castle modelled after Versailles. He revered the French Sun-King and created with this castle, a monument to absolute monarchy. It serves less as living quarters, and more as a symbolic spreading of his fame. After his death in 1885 the building was left unfinished.




Frauenchiemsee (Women's Island) ƒnƒn

The Women's Island is a frequently-visited jewelpiece in our Chiemsee. Just have a walk around the island and visit the picturesque fisher village. The Island looks back on a long history:
Torhalle Frauenchiemsee (Frauenchiemsee Gatehouse) with frescos stemming from the late Carolingian period (around 860); Michael¡¦s chapel with exhibits, arts and crafts from the Carolingian period (originals and replicas), vicar¡¦s house with seasonal painting exhibitions, various Chiemsee artists.

a cruise to the Carribbean...just like I go on every year at holiday time. ooo--la-la...not to make anyone jealous or anything.

Now, to bring Broadway on a cruise would just be...*in heaven*

NYC does come in a close second for me, but i'm very close to my cousins and i grew up vacationing on Cape Cod. :)

I love NYC and I'm going there soon (we don't know when yet) and if it's not for a relaxing summer vacation, then definatly NYC. but for a relaxing family beach thing where me and my cousins can just be stupid and have fun, Cape Cod.

I'll take anywhere that has temps from 75-90, a beach, sunshine all the time.
